The double capacitor motor is, according to its construction, an operating capacitor motor, in which, however, a starting capacitor is connected in parallel with the operating capacitor during start-up. The double capacitor motor combines the advantages of the operating capacitor motor - relatively high rated power with favourable energy ratios - with the advantage of the starting capacitor motor - relatively high starting torque.
